Serb Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player of all time!

Roger-Federer-Novak-Djokovic-Cincinnati-Masters-1467803For many, Roger Federer’s winning his 20th Grand Slam in the Australian Open settled the debate of whether or not he is the greatest tennis player to have ever played the game. However, many tennis fans disagree. In my opinion the Grand Slam tournament is not about who is the best player, but who has the most stamina and strength(It’s played on three sets!).At other master tournaments there are also the top 10 best players, but there is no difference with the Grand Slam.In my opinion it’s not only about the Grand Slam, but also the other tournaments(and other statistics) to choose who is the best player of the world…

Statistic says a lot and statistically Novak is the best player today and probably the best player of all times…Tennis is played on three different surfaces, grass, clay and hard courts. The best player in the world is the one who wins on them all. Right now, that man in Novak Djokovic.Beating the Spaniard on clay in two finals really announced the arrival of Djokovic as the best in the world.Nobody beats Rafa like that on clay, not three times.Djokovic became the first player to win all nine Masters 1,000 tournaments with victory over Roger Federer in Cincinnati 2018.Djokovic was holding all the Grand Slam titles in 2016, Federer never managed to do it…

If we take head-to-head records as one of the main indicators of GOAT worthiness, then Novak is now the undisputed number one. To be the best, you surely have to be able to beat those around you, and Djokovic has done it many times against some of the best players in the world. It’s widely agreed that the era of the ‘big-four’ is the strongest in tennis history, and if Djokovic sits at the top of that quartet, that makes him the GOAT by default, right?..Djokovic is the only man to hold a positive win-loss record against all three rival members. On top of his 24-22 record against Federer, Djokovic is 27-25 (14-10 in finals) against Nadal – and 25-11 (11-8 in finals) against Murray. He is the only one of the three to hold a positive record over Nadal, who is 23-15 (14-10 in finals) against Federer and 17-7 (5-3 in finals) against Murray…

When you rank tennis’ best players according to Elo, Djokovic’s level in 2015 is rated as the highest ever (in the Open era).Djokovic beat a record 31 top-10 players in 2015, while the Swiss *only* racked up 19 (2006) and 15 (2005) of those.Djokovic beat a record 31 top-10 players in 2015, while the Swiss *only* racked up 19 (2006) and 15 (2005) of those.Djokovic defeated Federer in 4 Grand Slams in a row: Wimbledon 2014, Wimbledon 2015, US Open 2015 and Australian Open 2016.Novak’s record in finals against Roger — the big matches, where the lights are the brightest, the stage is the biggest and the pressure is the most intense — is 12-6.He also holds a lopsided 25-11 advantage over Andy Murray, the other dominant player of this era.Roger and Novak have played two of the great matches of the Big Four era – the classic 2011 U.S. Open semifinal in which Djokovic slapped a crosscourt return winner on match point (annoying Federer to the point of meltdown) and the 2011 French Open semifinal in which Federer raced against sunset to upset Djokovic and stop his 41-match winning streak. Pete Sampras described Djokovic’s 2011 season as “one of the best he’d ever seen”, as the Serbian star picked up four Grand Slam titles and defeated rival Nadal six times on three different surfaces…

Djokovic and Nadal have beaten much tougher opponents than Federer in their Slam finals wins.Only 7 of Federer’s Slams titles came against players seeded 1-4.Federer dominated the tennis courts between 2003 and 2007, winning 12 out of his 18 Slams. In seven out of those 12 Grand Slams, Federer beat Andy Roddick (who admits he is one of the worst players to ever hold the no.1 ranking), Lleyton Hewitt, Mark Philippoussis, Marat Safin and Marcos Baghdatis, none of whom are considered elite players, and who weren’t ranked highly when Federer won against them.Federer has 20 Grand Slam wins to his name compared to Djokovic’s 13(that’s more than Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl, Andre Agassi and John McEnroe), although the Swiss did turn professional five years before his Serbian rival….

As renowned tennis coach Nick Bollettieri says, Djokovic is the most complete player of all time. He’s probably the best returner of all time, has the most amazing defense ever seen on a court, and his double-hander is the best all-round backhand on the tour at the moment.Roger Federer is not as complete a player as Novak Djokovic because he never held all four Grand Slam titles at once.Rafael Nadal suggested Djokovic’s level surpassed Federer’s at his peak, labelling him as ‘invincible’. Nadal believes that Roger Federer is the greatest player he’s come up against during his career based upon the titles he’s won, but he admitted that Novak Djokovic had reached the highest level of tennis that he has faced…Richard Krajicek believes it is only by virtue of his injury, as well as problems for Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal, that Federer has returned to the top of the game.“Roger is /No 1/ because his major rivals are injured,” Krajicek added…Roger Federer is not the greatest tennis player of all time.Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player of all time!..
